QMF Construction was awarded the contract by Robson Civil Projects to carry out all associated concrete works on the widening of 3 rail bridges in the Gosford area, NSW.

Scope of works on this project included but was not limited to:

  • 12 new abutments
  • 6 Bridge decks
  • 12 Approach slabs
  • Nib walls
  • 3 under bridge slabs to renew existing bridges
  • 400 lineal metres of radius drainage structure
  • Supply and design of engineered and conventional formwork systems

Other aspects of the project included:

  • Working within a tight construction program
  • Working to deliver key structures in time for rail shutdowns
  • Working in and around the rail corridor
  • Working at heights, access constraints
  • Working with engineered and conventional formwork systems
  • Working in an existing creek
  • Managing tides and working within environmental controls
